Classic River Club of Mequon Wedding

Jelena + Jimmy’s Classic River Club of Mequon Wedding was absolutely gorgeous! These two finally tied the knot, surrounded by close family and friends. I almost can’t begin to describe their special day other than it was a dream of a day! They also made the smart decision of hiring Events to a T to coordinate their day. I love when my couples work with a planner to coordinate their day flawlessly. It’s always a joy to work with Events to a T.

The Wedding Day

They got ready in different spaces, and it was such a joy to see them both feel the anticipation beforehand. Jelena and her ladies got ready at The Westin in downtown Milwaukee, and Jimmy and his guys were in a separate room there. It was even more special because they incorporated Serbian traditions before the wedding ceremony and vow exchange. I had never witnessed the “selling of the bride” tradition before, so it was a ton of fun. They basically had a small reception even before the wedding itself! The entire family got involved in the tradition, and it was beautiful and so energetic.

Then Jelena + Jimmy exchanged vows at a Serbian church in Milwaukee. It was simply stunning inside, with beautiful architecture from floor to ceiling. Guests were wowed as soon as they entered!

After they were officially married, we went to Lake Park on our way to Mequon for the reception. Their entire bridal party was having fun during their photo time, I loved the energy and excitement.

Their reception at the River Club of Mequon was our final destination for the day! These two had the most gorgeous black and white themed reception setup, complete with matching linens and cake. It looked so classic and gorgeous, just as Jelena imagined, and was executed perfectly by their planner, Emily of Events to a T.
