Elegant Fall Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Wedding

Christina + Joel planned the most stunning Schlitz Audubon Nature Center wedding, just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was a lot of planning and preparing, but they are such a team and handled things like pros. They’re high school sweethearts from Wauwatosa, so when I say a team I really mean it. They’ve been together for years, and everyone can tell why, they’re a seamless match.

After our engagement session, I was even more excited for their wedding day! They fit together perfectly, and were so sweet and snuggly during our session that I knew the wedding would be perfect.

The Wedding Day

We got a perfect fall wedding day for Christina + Joel’s celebration. To tie in their fall theme, they had some white pumpkins and fall grasses as part of their decor. I also loved the touches of deep red to really bring in the fall feeling to their florals.

I started the day with Christina in Wauwatosa as she got ready, and then we all traveled to their Schlitz Audubon Nature Center wedding ceremony. It was the perfect time of day, and sun streamed through the forest to surround their ceremony with golden light. These two exchanged their vows, and we also got to spend some wonderful time together for portraits. From there, it was time for them to join guests at cocktail hour, and then enjoy dinner! I love when couples do a First Look and portraits before the ceremony. It really allows them to relax and truly be present with their guests for the celebration.
