Refined Barn Wedding at Fields Reserve

Carly + Nick planned a gorgeous, refined barn wedding at Fields Reserve, just outside of Madison. Carly and Nick met because both were coaching sports teams at the same school, and Nick couldn’t help but make a point to walk past her office MANY times every day. They got to know each other over the course of a few years, and they make such an amazing team! It was a huge honor to see them exchange vows and finally make things official.

The Wedding Day

With the help of their planner, Amy of Relax Event Planning, their day went very smoothly! Amy handled many of the behind the scenes tasks that make a wedding day flow effortlessly. The vision was an upscale, refined barn wedding, with a palette of powder blue, yellow, and soft oranges. It was perfect, and a refreshing color palette and yet so classic and gorgeous. They wanted guests to feel comfortable in the outdoor and indoor settings, so they tied in colors and feel everywhere in their day.

Carly + Nick and both of their wedding parties started the day at The Edgewater getting ready. It was the perfect spot overlooking the lake in Madison! Then they traveled to the ceremony and reception site, Fields Reserve. It was perfectly set up so that guests could enjoy the surrounding natural beauty of the landscape. Carly + Nick exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony, complete with a live painting artist Kristina, who is incredibly talented!

Then guests enjoyed cocktails on the covered veranda, followed by dinner and dancing inside the large blue barn on the property. Amy and her team tied in all the stunning blue, yellow, and orange tones in florals, linens, and even the cookie favors. It was such a lovely guest experience and felt so full of personality!
