Katie + Adam’s October wedding day at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center was perfection. From Katie’s boho gown to all the thoughtful, intentional details, everything fit them as a couple! Emily of Wood Violet gave Katie the dreamy, autumn flowers she was picturing, and they were stunning against the backdrop of the nature center.

Guests arrived and were seated for their evening ceremony, and the day flowed right into cocktail hour + dinner. Adam + Katie made the decision to have a first look and take almost all of their portraits beforehand, so they got to relax and enjoy cocktails with all their closest family + friends!

These two are some of the healthiest people I’ve ever met, and both practice mind and body fitness on a whole new level — Adam is an Ironman competitor and Katie is a yoga teacher. During the toasts at the reception, it was noted by both the man of honor and the best man how these two fit together like two halves of a (very healthy) whole, and I couldn’t agree more! Even in the short amount of time I’ve gotten to spend with them, it’s obvious how much they love each other. Katie couldn’t have found a more gentle encourager, and Adam couldn’t have a kinder, more compassionate partner in life.

Katie + Adam, I can’t tell you how happy I am for the two of you, and I know you’re going to be adventurous and healthy partners for the rest of your lives. Congratulations, and thank you again for asking me to be such a big part of your wedding day! Cheers to you both!
