While I lean more towards a timeless + natural quality to my images, I certainly love to keep tabs on trends going on in the wedding industry. Plenty of trends actually fuse classic + timeless looks with modern style, which results in a beautiful overall wedding style.
Another trend I’ve noticed is that weddings are shifting towards an entire ‘guest experience’ rather than separated segments of the day strung together. Details are becoming more personalized, and guests are given more of a ‘story’ of the couple through their wedding details like floral designs, attire choices, ceremony location, reception seating, and so much more.
These are a few of my favorite concepts + trends that I envision being a big part of wedding celebrations in 2016:
1 // Bridal gowns with delicate sleeves or straps (bye-bye strapless!)
2 // Loose, organic, natural colored bouquets
3 // Floor length bridesmaid gowns
4 // Garlands + loose reception arrangements
5 // Natural, less formal bridal hairstyles
6 // Modern + organic calligraphy
7 // Thoughtful signage + seated dinners (vs. buffet style dinners)
8 // Bold accent colors
9 // Gold, copper, and rose gold
10 // Elopements or smaller, more intimate celebrations
I can say, as a bridesmaid in 3 weddings this year and a wedding planner you are totally on point! I’m so happy floor length, well-fitting bridesmaid gowns are available now. And I’m loving the rose gold accents. Thanks for the post!
Beautiful!
