Many brides (as well as other photographers) frequently ask what equipment I shoot with – and it’s a fair question! Today I’m happy to share a little peek into what I carry around in my ONA bag and Thinktank bag for a typical wedding:

Wondering if you notice a difference between your L glass and your non-L glass?
Thanks for sharing :) We have the same bag.

Honestly, not too much! I do love the L series pieces that I have, but likely won’t go out of my way to replace the non-L with L series until they NEED replacing. I see the same sharpness and fast focus across the board in the lenses that I own, and have never had any major issues with my non-L lenses. The ONA bag is great isn’t it?! :) Thanks so much for the comment, James!!

Hey, wondering what bag you use to carry all of the above gear. The Ona is too small for all of that. I have been searching high and low for a solution (I have the same gear you have) right now I have about three different bags I have to carry. would love to find one that fits all and then a smaller running around bag. would love to know how you transport your gear to weddings. thanks !!

Brittany, great question! I use the ThinkTank (airport carry-on size) for the majority of my gear, and typically keep 1-2 bodies and 2-3 lenses in my bag at one time. Those bodies and lenses are usually my 5D Mark III, 50mm lens, 85mm lens (or 100mm macro, depending on what I’m shooting at the time), my light meter, one of my film cameras, and the lens that’s attached to that body (most often a 50mm or 75mm). I definitely can’t fit everything into my ONA bag, but love to have it loaded with the few items I need at the time. The rest of my gear stays packed in the ThinkTank, and I (or my assistant) bring it to wherever we are shooting for weddings.
