Getting a peek into a couple’s relationship is one of the greatest joys of my work as a wedding photographer, especially when the couple is as lovely as Elizabeth and Kevin! They planned their wedding while juggling a new job in Milwaukee for her and graduate school in Texas for him. But despite being so busy, they were always completely gracious and thoughtful. A long-distance engagement is not for the faint of heart, but even separated by miles, it was evident that they are one another’s rock. I could hardly wait to see them finally become husband and wife.
Their ceremony at the Basilica of St. Josaphat and reception at the Milwaukee County Historical Society were certainly memorable in their own ways (Gina of Simply Elegant Group brought their timeless vision to life beautifully!), but what stands out the most to me when I think back on Elizabeth and Kevin’s wedding is the in-between moments. The way Kevin constantly anticipated his bride’s needs and was right there for her, no matter what. The grace Elizabeth carried herself with throughout the day, always staying present to her groom and their loved ones. The fact that they couldn’t take their eyes off of one another and barely stopped smiling all day! The joy they find in their relationship was palpable from their first look right through to their sparkler exit, and I can’t imagine a couple more wonderfully suited for each other.
Elizabeth and Kevin, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the sweet privilege of capturing the beginning of your marriage. Your relationship is truly special and I was honored to be a part of your wedding day! I can’t wait to see where your marriage leads you both.
