Heather + Zach planned their special day for over a year, and I was so happy they opted for an engagement session so that we got to know each other before the big day! Their Mercantile Hall wedding in Burlington turned out perfectly.
Heather is a fantastic planner; she’s got a talent and passion for organization, and both Heather and Zach played a big part in the execution of everything on their wedding day (alongside the great staff at Mercantile Hall). It was such a pleasure getting to see these two work together towards their wedding day, and it was beautiful to see their teamwork spirit!
Heather got ready at the stunning Mercantile Hall while Zach got ready with his guys at a great local hotel. They opted not to see each other before the ceremony, so it made for a beautiful, emotion-filled moment when they got to see each other for the first time that day! After exchanging vows, we noticed dark clouds start to roll in (summer in WI is quite unpredictable)!
Zach and Heather didn’t even blink at a little rain on their wedding day – we immediately went to our backup plan, which we worked out in advance in case of rain. Nothing could outshine their love on that special day, and we had SO much fun despite a few drops of rain! Their entire wedding party was fantastic and acted quickly, handing out the dozen umbrellas that I tote around in my car trunk just in case. We took cover under a park pavilion during the downpour, and then our patience was rewarded with some gorgeous soft skies once the clouds broke.
Mercantile Hall has a really beautiful, warm, and inviting atmosphere, which was ideal for their reception. Heather wanted to compliment the warm brick tones inside with candlelight, and hints of lavender in the centerpiece florals. Everything came together perfectly to create a very inviting space for their closest friends and family! My favorite part of the space is the covered patio, complete with the sweet little camper-bar Suesanna!
Heather + Zach, thank you for having me along to document your special day. It’s almost indescribable how honored I am to get to witness your vows to each other, not only for your wedding day, but for your future life together.
