Kayla + Eric are one of the most down-to-earth and genuine couples you’ll meet, and they chose a beautiful area to get married on Milwaukee’s Riverfront at Black Swan MKE! They live nearby and spend lots of their time in the area, even kayaking next to the venue where they got married.

I got to meet Eric at his brother Bryan‘s wedding 4 years ago, so when Kayla reached out I instantly was excited about the prospect of documenting their day too! These two planned such an elegant yet relaxed (read: FUN) day! It fit them perfectly and they truly looked and felt like the best version of themselves when they were among family + friends. Being right on the water didn’t hurt, either.

The part that stood out to me most about their wedding day was the TEARS! These two brought virtually everyone around them to tears during the ceremony, because in the emotion of the moment, they both couldn’t hold back the tears. After their dewy-eyed vows (and we all took a quick moment to compose ourselves, ahem, me included), they marched back down the aisle as newlyweds. You could FEEL the gravity of the moment, and it was the most beautiful part to witness. A close second was the Badger Band surprising them on the dance floor. Very close second!

Congratulations, Kayla + Eric, and I cannot wait to see where your love + commitment takes you — there’s truly nothing you can’t accomplish together!
