Emily + Nate’s Ivy House Wedding in Milwaukee was a dream! I knew from our first meeting that we’d get to work together (it was a gut feeling), we got along so well. These two took every moment to enjoy their wedding day, and it was a joy to spend the day together. Every single hand-hold and kiss, they didn’t waste a moment. After being together 8 years, they were so excited to say “I do!”
Their wedding day began with getting ready right at the Ivy House. Emily and the ladies looked so cute in their matching getting ready sweats, and got to enjoy a champagne toast. Nate and the guys also got ready at Ivy House, in the area where we later had the reception. Afterwards, Emily got into her dress, and it was time for the First Look!
Emily + Nate got to have their First Look on the patio, since the weather was perfect. They also took the quiet opportunity and private moment to exchange their vows.
The ceremony was at a gorgeous church downtown, surrounded by close family and friends. It was the perfect way to tie the knot! After family photos at the church, we headed a few blocks down to Lake Michigan and the Lakefront. With the Art Museum in the background, they got some group and newlywed couple photos.
Finally, it was time to get to the cocktail hour and reception with their guests at Ivy House. I loved getting to see them relax and enjoy the afternoon and evening together.
Thank you, Emily + Nate, for asking me to photograph your special day! Cheers to you both, and your marriage!
