Early June in Palm Springs is a balmy 100 degrees — quite the shock from a Midwest spring. It was a much-needed break in the middle of a busy summer season of work! I love to plan time (far in advance) to refuel around large projects and seasons that I know are going to be packed to the brim. Of course, I took a bunch of Palm Springs California travel photos while we were there.
I got to explore some of the best spots in town alongside three of my good friends, Jen, Katie, and Chrissy. We stayed in a beautiful mid-century Airbnb, and we also rented bikes and made our own mid-century modern home tour. Early one morning we drove to and hiked at Joshua Tree, and pool time afterwards was necessary to cool down. Having our own pool was a huge advantage and a welcome spot to chat about our businesses, goals, and dreams.
There were no shortage of great eats and drinks, too! Jen knows how to mix a perfect margarita, and there were so many great spots to eat including and Norma’s at the Parker, Azucar, Birba, 4 Saints / High Bar, El Patron, and Koffi.
We loved the desert vibes of the entire area, and it was the perfect relaxing trip. Since Joshua Tree Nation Park was also close, we took a day trip out there to hike the beautiful landscape. It was unforgettable to be among all the Joshua Trees.
Many thanks to Katie, Chrissy, and Jen for being wonderful travel buddies, and for taking photos of all of us throughout the trip! I can’t wait for our next adventure, but it’ll be hard to top Palm Springs!
