You don’t come across people who are both laid-back and very detail-oriented often, but Kylee + Nick strike that perfect balance that made them such a joy to work with! I loved learning about their romantic vision for their Lake Geneva wedding last fall when I photographed their engagement session. Kylee has lots of experience planning events through her job, so I knew she was going to create something magical.

They exchanged their vows on the terrace lawn of the Ridge Hotel—something I know they deeply hoped for leading up to their wedding. I might have been as happy as they were when the weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony! Surrounded by creamy white floral arrangements and exposed wood details, the terrace made a gorgeous setting for this most meaningful part of the day. Each part of their ceremony was so true to their love story and who they are as a couple, from the touching memorial in honor of Nick’s late father on the chair where he would have been seated, to the personal vows Kylee + Nick promised to one another, to the tree planting they did in lieu of a unity candle, inspired by their love of nature.
