These two beautiful souls met when Sarah became a member at a gym in Madison, where Michael happened to be a personal trainer. She managed to get up the courage to sign up for a free session to work with him, in order to meet him! After exchanging some innocent (Michael claims “flirtatious”) small talk, Sarah mentioned that she was soon moving to Chicago. Coincidentally, Michael was moving there soon also! As if that weren’t enough fate, they ended up living on the same street in Chicago (unknowingly because they didn’t keep in touch once they moved). It was truly meant to be + they connected months later on Facebook + the rest is history!

They got engaged while they were camping + hiking (a couple after my own heart!) in Illinois two years ago already, and were married last November at Sugarland Barn.

Sarah + Michael’s beautiful fall wedding at Sugarland Barn, just outside of Spring Green, Wisconsin — there almost aren’t words to describe how stunning yet relaxed their day was from start to finish! From Sarah’s glam Badgley Mischka heels + blush BHLDN gown, to Michael’s dapper fitted suit, to the short + sweet ceremony, to the whiskey bar (it was a hit!) + the dance party that followed dinner. Everything was personalized to Sarah + Michael’s personalities, as well as carefully thought out + executed, with the help of Kayla from Juneberry Events.
