Rachel & Ryan are two of the most creative and beautiful souls. He is an application engineer and she is a graphic designer (hooray for designer friends!). They are proud to call Milwaukee their home, but they also LOVE traveling and got engaged at Santa Monica Beach while on a road trip on Route 66 in California! We first met at Colectivo for coffee, and they giggled together and told me about their plans for a beautiful, rustic, spring wedding, and I just knew it was meant to be. It turns out that Rachel actually emailed me for a second time about photographing their wedding, as their original date had changed from the first time she inquired (their original date was very close to my own wedding, so I wasn’t available at the time). I’m so glad we were able to connect after all.
Both Ryan and Rachel could not stop giggling, so I knew we were in for an amazing engagement session. Any couple that is so comfortable around me that they laugh their way through a session, are amazing in my book! They eased into photos like pros, and we enjoyed a hot drink on Brady Street before heading out into the windy and chilly fall weather for a lakeside picnic, where the huge smiles + snuggling moments continued. More than ever, I’m looking forward to their South Shore Pavilion wedding next spring!
