Haley + Carl’s wedding day at Villa Bellazza was one of my favorite days of 2016! With Sarah from Cherry Blossom Events coordinating their day, I knew everything would run very smoothly, but what I didn’t expect was the extent of how beautiful the entire venue is. Everything from the vineyard backdrop for the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the interior of the Villa itself, everything perfectly conveyed Haley + Carl’s vision for an Italian-inspired day.

Not only are Haley + Carl perfect together, but meeting their friends + family made for an unbelievably exhilarating + fulfilling day. I couldn’t have felt more welcome among the whole group of guests celebrating!

While it can be easy (as a busy photographer) to overlook many of the wedding guests and focus on the bride, groom, and wedding party during the day, one of my favorite parts of the day is the few minutes before the ceremony begins. That’s when I get to observe everyone visiting, anticipating what is just around the corner, and maybe even thinking back to their own wedding day + their own vows. I usually love to sneak in a few images while guests are visiting + fully being themselves, and surprise my couples with some unexpected images like these.

Speaking of surprises, a quick shoutout to Carl for putting together a surprise song + choreography for his new wife at their reception! ;)
