Happy 2013!

A big Happy 2013 to all my fans and readers!!

What a blessed, amazing year 2012 was for me, and I hope for you also! Here are a few personal and business highlights for me:

Denver – not only was I able to do a destination engagement session for a super sweet couple, but my fiancé asked me to marry him while we were in the the mountains surrounding the Mile-High city!!

– the number of photography workshops I was able to attend. I am a true believer in continuing education at any age and any point in your career – if you have passion for it, you always have something to learn! I attended workshops with amazing established photographers like Jasmine Star, Bobbi+Mike, Matt and Katie (from Australia!), and most recently Emily Steffen!

Al fresco – I had several outdoor weddings this past year, and LOVED every moment of them!! I already have more scheduled for 2013, and I am already getting excited for wedding season to get back into full swing this spring with a barn wedding!

– new niece-dog Lily!! She will be making many appearances on my blog and Instagram feed, so be sure to follow along if you love dogs as much as I do  ;)

Keurig – my amazing fiancé got me a Keurig for Christmas, no more making single servings in the old coffee pot!

Wheels – I got a new/used car this year, my old one had lots of miles and increasing problems, so it felt great to be able to purchase a more reliable car!

– the number of styled shoots I was able to participate in, one way or another {two of which I helped coordinate}. These are so much fun to do as a photographer, and I’ll certainly be doing more!

5 – issues of Southern Weddings purchased. Mostly, I admit, to gather inspiration for my own wedding  ;)

Travel – I was able to visit a few nearby places this year to feed my travel-addiction, including Nashville, Denver, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, and Chicago (several times…I almost considered purchasing an i-Pass).

24 – visits to local antique and vintage stores. LOVE browsing all the treasures!

Family – Jon and I made time to visit our families for dinners, camping, time at the cabin, graduations, birthdays, ski trips, and everything inbetween!

It was truly an unforgettable year, and I know that 2013 has potential to be even better  :)
